Shaw’s wide experience spans development,
pre- and post-sales support, quality management, software product
management, technical project management, technology strategy, and
solutions architecture. Her main areas of interest are the Data Centre,
SOA, unified communications, and information management. Throughout her
career she has been fascinated by the challenges of making one system
or product talk to another in a low-risk way.
Mandy's work has
involved a very wide range of technology areas, but she
has extensive knowledge and experience of the IBM i platform as systems
engineer, developer, integrator, communications specialist, educator,
and technology champion. Since 2000 she has chaired user groups for
large UK IBM i users: Logicalis IT Forum, and the recently

architect is to assist the customer in deriving
maximum business value from his/her information systems and technology
by establishing a 'trusted advisor' relationship, giving unbiased
strategic and tactical advice, and interpreting IT to the business and
the business to IT.
In June 2012 she attended an IBM Residency on 'PureSystems: Workload
